GOST ("Rostest"). Russian trade and selling of goods in Russia usually requires GOST R Certification. The GOST R Certificate is a confirmation that the product meets Russian safety requirements and can be imported and sold in Russia. According to the document GOST 50460-92, all products sold in Russia must have the proper certification on the product packaging, which needs to meet the requirements stated in the GOST R Certification Rules. The certification on the product packaging is indicated by an alphanumeric code of the certification authority that issued the certificate of conformity (it depends on the types of goods to which this product belongs to). |

CE mark. "CE-mark" - is a mandatory conformity mark for products placed in the market within the European Economic Area (EEA), which is defined by EU Directives separately for each group of goods and products. The symbol is placed on the packaging by the manufacturer as a declaration that the product conforms with the essential requirements of the applicable EC directives and can be sold in the European Union. The abbreviation "CE" corresponds to the French Conformité Européenne, meaning European Conformity formerly EC mark. | |

Net weight. It is a simple sign that is placed near the weight of a product, and refers to the weight of the product alone without packaging. If there is a number placed next to it and it’s enclosed in a rectangular frame, it means "Gross weight", which refers to the total weight of a product and its packaging (generally is found in commerce or trade applications).

The tidy man symbol. This is a common symbol found on products which encourage the user to dispose of the packaging responsibly. Sometimes the symbol is called the “be environmentally friendly” symbol. |

Non-toxic material. The designation that a product is made from a material (usually plastic or cardboard), which is non-toxic and may come into contact with food. It is often used for plastic items including disposable utensils, kitchen equipment, and sometimes for food packaging. |
![]() | Protect from moisture. This symbol reminds those handling the package to keep out of the rain and not to store it in damp conditions. It is normally found on cardboard packages which could be damaged if placed in contact with water. |
| This side up. The symbol indicates that this container should be stored and moved in a vertical position. The arrows point towards the top of the package. Tropical packaging. The symbol is applied on a package when it can be damaged by the adverse effects of tropical climate during loading and unloading, transportation or storage of the package. Designation: T - Tropical sign package; 00-00 - month and year of packaging.

The recycling symbols used in what is known as the Plastic Coding System include a thinner and simplified version of the Mobius Loop with a number in the center and an acronym (below the loop) denoting the kind of the plastic resin used. These recycling symbols are designed to assist recyclers with the task of sorting the collected material. In recent years, these plastic recycling symbols have also been commonly used as an indicator by some people to determine the presence of what is perceived to be health-threatening chemicals. |

"Der Grune Punkt"/Green Dot. This shows that a fee has been paid for the recovery of the packaging . Financial assistance is given to the German waste management program "Eco Emballage" (Environmental Packaging) and incorporated into its disposal system. The symbol appears in black and white as well as green and white versions. |

The sign of recycling. The label indicates that the product (or packaging) is made of Recycled material and is Recyclable. At the same time, manufacturers are advised to specify the percentage of recycled materials used, such as "Made of 70% recycled cardboard". |

The Forest Stewardship Council. The FSC promotes the responsible management of the world’s forests, meaning that with the logo on your product, you ascribe to being responsible for your products. |

MILJOMARKT/"Nordic Swan". This environmental certification symbol was introduced by four Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland) in 1990. The swan logo demonstrates that a product is a good environmental choice. The requirements relate mainly to the consideration of the external environment, but also involve the indoor environment with strict criteria for the lifespan of a product. It is the biggest and best-known eco-label in Sweden, and is also in general use in other Scandinavian countries. The criteria are being constantly updated. |
